Service Description

Jewellery Classes - All Levels 5 weeks 10 am - 12 pm Flexible Enrolment: No “term dates”, no “term holidays”, just consistent creative time each week. Classes are booked in sessions of 5 weeks at a time. About the Classes: Join us for our year-round, friendly and relaxed Weekly Jewellery Classes and discover the joy of jewellery making. At our fully equipped jewellery workshop, you’ll master essential jewellery design and silversmithing skills under the guidance of professional jewellery designers and silversmiths. You’ll learn techniques such as piercing (sawing), forming, soldering, ring making, stone setting, texturing, etching, roller milling, finishing, and polishing. Through hands-on jewellery making projects, you’ll gain confidence working with silver and other precious materials. As you progress, you’ll have the chance to develop your own design ideas, with personalised tuition to help refine your individual style. For more experienced makers, our weekly jewellery classes offer an inspiring, professional studio environment to expand your skills and bring ambitious projects to life – all with expert technical support when you need it. What’s Included: Our jewellery-making courses include: A welcoming, supportive atmosphere with plenty of individual attention Full use of our professional jewellery workshop facilities All essential consumables, such as sandpaper, drill bits, and saw blades Please note: We provide base metals for you to work with in the classes. Precious metals such as silver and gold are not included in the course fee. They can, however, be purchased separately with us if you prefer to use them. Your tutor will help you choose and source what you need. What to Bring: Jewellery-making can get a little messy! We recommend: An apron and old clothes Closed-toe shoes for safety A hairband, if you have long hair A notebook and pencils for sketches and notes A small container or toolbox to safely store your creations Important Information: Classes require a minimum number of participants to run; if this isn’t met, you will be eligible for a full refund. Please review our bookings policy here. Participants must be aged 16 or over, in line with our insurance and health & safety requirements. We offer step-free access. Cancellation Policy

Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy This Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) sets out the terms between you (“the Customer”) and Frensham Old Barn Workshop (“the Workshop”) regarding bookings for workshops, classes, and events. 1. Bookings and Payment: - All bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation to secure your place. - You will receive a confirmation email containing your booking details. 2. Cancellation by the Workshop: - If the Workshop cancels a booked event, you will be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid for your ticket. - The Workshop will make reasonable efforts to notify you as soon as possible. - Refunds will exclude any third-party booking fees unless otherwise stated. 3. Rescheduled Events: - If the Workshop reschedules an event, your booking will remain valid for the new date. - If you cannot attend the rescheduled event, you may request a refund of the amount paid. - It is your responsibility to check for updates regarding event changes. 4. Customer Cancellation: - If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of payment, you will receive a full refund. - Cancellations made after the 48-hour period are non-refundable. - You may transfer your booking to another person at your discretion, but please inform the Workshop in advance. 5. Refund Requests: - All refund requests must be made in writing via email to info@oldbarnworkshop.co.uk and include proof of booking and payment. - Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of a valid request. 6. Health & Safety and Pandemic Policy: - The Workshop is committed to the health and safety of all participants. - In the event of a pandemic or similar public health crisis, the Workshop reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or alter events to comply with government guidelines. - You will be notified promptly of any such changes. - Refunds or credit notes will be provided if you are unable to attend due to pandemic-related cancellations or restrictions. - Attendees are required to comply with any health and safety protocols in place at the time of the event. 7. No-Show Policy: - If you do not attend the event and have not cancelled within the policy terms, no refund will be issued.
